Despite not enjoying sports initially, he was pushed into various athletic activities from a young age.
Kent opens up about his struggles with depression and substance abuse. He talks about how running and triathlons became a significant part of his life, helping him find balance and purpose. One of the turning points in his journey was watching an Ironman finish line video, which motivated him to take up the challenge himself.
Kent’s journey includes participating in ultra-endurance events, such as running a marathon every day for 150 days and competing in a 48-hour track race. He discusses the mental and physical challenges he faced during these events and how they helped him discover more about himself.
Throughout our conversation, Kent emphasises the importance of finding joy in movement, setting realistic goals, and being part of a supportive community. His story is a testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of running.
